Culminating in Dan David's visit to the site,
the 2007 excavation season at Misliya Cave has just ended, with the unearthing of additional hearths within early Middle Paleolithic layers, extremely rich in flint implements (mostly Levallois blades and points) and animal bones (exhibiting distinct signs of human exploitation).
