Dr. Alexander Tsatskin is geo-archaeologist of the Misliya Cave Project taking part in the excavations from the start. Since 1991 he works in different prehistoric sites in Mount Carmel, Coastal plain, Galilee and Lake Kinneret. His research interests lie in application of soil micromorphology and environmental magnetism in archaeology, Mediterranean soil formation in time and space, soil-geomorphic interrelationships, anthopogenic impact on soils and
natural resources.
